Candace van der Stelt

Candace van der Stelt is a speech-language pathologist and PhD student in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders. Candace received her master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before joining the team at the University of Pittsburgh, Candace earned a master’s in neuroscience and worked as both a clinical and research speech-language pathologist in Washington, DC. Candace’s research aspirations are to conduct translational clinical research that harnesses concepts from behavioral psychology and neuroscience to improve aphasia assessment and rehabilitation.
