Mara Goodman

Mara Goodman is a Ph.D. student within the Communication Sciences and Disorder department working under the direction of Dr. Will Evans. Her primary areas of interest include improving clinical outcome measures in people with acquired communication disorders, and determining factors that impact recovery including psychosocial and cultural differences. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America. Prior to her involvement at the University of Pittsburgh, Mara worked for seven years as a medical Speech-Language Pathologist in acute rehabilitation and outpatient therapy in Phoenix, Arizona. Mara obtained her B.S. and M.S. degrees from The University of Arizona, and completed her graduate thesis work assessing long-term recovery outcomes in people with aphasia with Dr. Pelagie Beeson.
